Bizzi-Day Nursery does not discriminate against any child or parent on the grounds of gender, race, religion, creed, marital status, ethnic or national origin, political belief, disability or physical appearance.

Behaviour and Sanctions
Staff at Bizzi-Day seeks to encourage acceptable and positive behavior and do their best to be good role models at all times. If a child displays unacceptable behavior the staff will try to explain what the problem is. If necessary the child will be removed from the situation and given ‘time out’ to settle down. Parents will be informed of any such difficulties. If problems persist the nursery will work with the parents to improve behavior.
In the most severe cases the nursery reserves the right to exclude children for behavioral problems.
Children should not be brought to nursery if they are known to be unwell. Follow your doctor’s advice on when your child can return to nursery.
If your child becomes unwell you will be contacted immediately.
The nursery has the right to exclude children with infections.
If your child is suffering from vomiting and/or diarrhoea they will not be allowed to return to the nursery until 48 hours has passed since the last incident.
If your child needs to have medicine administered, a consent form must be filled in and signed.
The nursery cannot administer any medicine that has not been prescribed by a doctor other than temperature reducing medicine such as Calpol.
Children who suffer from asthma must bring inhalers clearly labeled with their name.
If your child has a serious accident, you will be contacted immediately and the nursery will seek emergency medical advice. Any minor accidents will be recorded in the accident book and the parent will be required to examine and sign the accident book when the child is collected.
At Bizzi-Day Nursery we want our children to enjoy the sun safely. We will work with staff, pupils and parents to achieve this through:
The garden is shaded between the hours of 10:00am and 4:00pm throughout the summer months
The children will not be allowed to go outdoors when the sun is at its hottest between 11:00 am and 3:00pm unless the garden is shaded and for only 20 minutes each time.
Children will be encouraged to wear labelled sun hats and clothing that covers their shoulders. We shall try to keep a pool of spare sunhats for those who do not have them.
Staff will demonstrate and encourage safe sun practice by wearing/hats and sun cream when on duty if practicable
Parents will be requested to sign a permission slip to give permission for a member of staff to apply sun cream throughout the day
Any parent refusing permission will be encouraged to come into nursery to reapply sun- screen
Parents will be encouraged to put sun screen of factor 30 or above on their child before they come to nursery and then to bring it into nursery for staff to apply
The nursery will provide sunscreen for those children that have forgoten to bring their own

The nursery building and car-park is a no smoking area
